Welcome to the website of Belarusian Folk Group VOLYA – Seattle-based keepers of traditions.
We collect, research, and perform ancient Belarusian folk songs, which considered to be the oldest unaltered folk songs on the territory of Europe, rooting in medieval times with some songs dating back thousands of years.
Folk Group VOLYA and Volya Dzemka own one of the largest private collections of authentic Belarusian folk costumes in the world, outside of Belarus. Belarusian traditional clothing is a part of VOLYA's larger Ethnic Costumes Collection, which consists of both, Belarusian and Ukrainian authentic attire of late 19th-early 20th centuries.
